Gästbloggsinlägg!

Greetings to Anna’s family and friends. Since Billie did a guest blog a few weeks ago, Billie and Anna decided it was my turn to guest blog this week. I will apologize that this blog is in English and not Swedish, while Anna’s English is excellent, our Swedish is väldigt dålig. This has been a busy week for Anna.   Early Tuesday morning Anna gave a presentation to the Sunrise Rotary Club.  There are two Rotary clubs in Cheyenne, the Cheyenne Rotary Club is the club that hosts Anna and then there is the Sunrise Rotary Club, which meets for breakfast on Tuesday mornings.    So Tuesday morning Anna and I headed to the Sunrise Club at 6:00 a.m., this was quite early for Anna, but she did not complain at all.  Anna did an amazing job presenting and all of the members commented on how great she spoke English.  The next day we took Anna to the Cheyenne Club Rotary meeting to hear the presentation of Maite, who is the other exchange student.  Maite is from Argentina.  While Maite’s presentation was good, Billie and I both agreed that Anna’s presentation was better and more informative about her home country (we are probably a little biased, but Anna’s presentation was better).

On Thursday evening we went to the local community college and saw a play called “Charlotte’s Web.”  Anna had worked on the costumes for the play in her drama class.  Specifically, she had made the bat costume, which was very well done.   Then, on Friday Anna went to Laramie (which is a town about 45 minutes west of Cheyenne) for volleyball, unfortunately, her team lost two games and failed to qualify for the state tournament next weekend.  This morning Anna and I went with our friend Kristin Lee to a place called Veedavoo, which is known for its unusual rock formations.  We took a little hike.  The weather was a little cold so when we got home we had hot chocolate and soup to help warm us up.

Tonight is the East High School Homecoming dance, which was cancelled two weeks ago because a big snowstorm.  Anna will be attending with a group of friends and we are very excited for her.  Other items that are coming up include a birthday party for Billie next week.  Then in November, Anna and I will go to Phoenix, Arizona to enjoy the warmer weather and watch the Arizona Cardinals, which is an American football team.

That is all for now.
